Hargeysa, (insidesomalia.org)-A colorful ceremonial was overnight held at Imperial hotel in Hargeiasa the capital of the self-styled state of Somaliland. This ceremony was meant to show the boldness and award the only jet fighter pilot who turned deaf ears to the orders of his officers, which he considered as treason to his motherland Somalia.
The youth’s umbrellas of Unity and understanding have jointly organized a highly arranged party for jet aircraft pilot Ahmed Mohamed Hassan (Ahmed Dere) who was the merely pilot who dumped the orders of his masters in the barrage of Hargiesa and safe landed in coast of Djibouti and sought asylum from the Djabouti government at the time headed by late Hassan Guled Abtidoon.
Top dignitaries in the Somaliland house, and as well officials from the three political parties attended the ceremony.
Firstly the chairman of Understanding organization Mr. Mohammed Hassan Dabeye delivered his speech, which was mainly focusing on the reason behind organizing the ceremony.
“The main objective behind this ceremony is to remind honorable Ahmed how he saved the lives of hundreds of innocent and vulnerable persons,” said the Chairman of Understanding youth’s organization.
The Somaliland political parties, which have attended at the ceremony, also delivered their speech towards the guts of Ahmed the pilot, and said that they are in voice saying blessings be with you for how you have kept your hands off from blood stains of innocent civilians.
